Involved Personal Information - Questions and Answers

  24th August 2026

Please find the following general information about  managing cyber incidents

We recommend individuals remain vigilant against the risk of phishing emails and scams, which are often the most likely risk associated with any unauthorised access to contact information.

Scam calls and phishing emails are becoming increasingly sophisticated and can appear to come from legitimate email addresses or phone numbers with local area codes. They will often claim to be from a reputable organisation, such as a government entity, bank, or telecommunications agency. They will also create a sense of urgency to try to get the recipient to disclose sensitive information or to elicit funds.

What precautionary steps can be taken?

There are some steps that can be taken to help protect against these scams. We recommend the following:

Contact information (name, address, email address and/or phone number)

In some circumstances, contact information can be used by scammers to send convincing emails, text messages, or phone calls pretending to be from trusted organisations. Pentlowe Health will never contact individuals asking for a password or sensitive personal information.

We recommend that all individuals:

· are cautious of unexpected contact asking for personal or login information;

· do not share passwords, one-time codes, or sensitive personal details;

· verify requests independently by contacting organisations using official websites or publicly listed phone numbers.

Protect your accounts

As a general precaution, you may also wish to consider the following steps:

· turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) where available;

· update passwords for important accounts and avoid reusing them;

· check that your passwords are strong and have not been exposed in known breaches;

Stay alert to scams

Be aware and cautious of the following:

· scammers may create fake websites or impersonate legitimate organisations;

· check website addresses (URLs) carefully - legitimate sites typically begin with https://;

· if you are unsure, do not click links or provide information.
